# Filtering documents

Both the **IRL view** and the **Folder view** on the Documents page have a **Filters** button in the toolbar. Filters help you narrow down what is displayed so you can focus on the documents or document types most relevant to your review.

# How to use filters

Click the **Filters** button to open the filter panel. Every filter is a multi-select: you can pick one or more options in each section. Active filters are shown as a badge on the Filters button so you can always see when something is filtered. Use **Clear all** to reset all filters at once.

# IRL view filters

The IRL view filters control which **document types** (categories in your Information Request List, or IRL) appear in the left sidebar and the associated file lists.

| Filter | Options |
| --- | --- |
| Documents | Provided document types, Empty document types, Duplicates |
| GAP analysis | Complete, Incomplete |
| Review | Reviewed, Unreviewed |
| Scope | In scope, Out of scope |
| Jurisdiction | Filter by one or more jurisdictions found in the data room |
| Legal entity | Filter by one or more legal entities |
| Added within | Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days |

* **Provided document types** shows only types with at least one document assigned.
* **Empty document types** shows types with no documents assigned—useful for gap analysis.
* **Duplicates** highlights document types where the same file appears more than once.

When you first open the Documents page, the default is **In scope** so you see only the document types relevant to your current due diligence.

# Folder view filters

The Folder view filters control which **files** are shown in the list.

| Documents | Duplicate documents |
| Review | Reviewed, Unreviewed |
| Jurisdiction | Filter by one or more jurisdictions |
| Legal entity | Filter by one or more legal entities |
| Added within | Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days |
